Lucia and Matt met at a summer music school in 2010 and the rest, as they say, is history! They have a shared love of adventure and wildlife, and spend as much time travelling as possible, writing songs about the animals they encounter along the way. They both delight in silliness and think it’s an important part of life at all ages!
Lucia trained as a singer at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and went on to sing solo roles with opera companies such as Northern Ireland Opera. She leads education and outreach projects for many opera companies and orchestras.
Lucia especially loves working with the very young, and created and led
‘Opera Dots’; a new programme for the Royal Opera House for 0 – 5 year olds. Other starring roles include Elsa/Sven/Hans in the endless reenactments of ‘Frozen’ she is subjected to by her two year old, Persephone. Matt
Matt is a classically trained singer, having studied music at the University of York and the Royal College of Music. Career highlights include performing at many of the world’s most prestigious venues, session work for Hollywood movie soundtracks, collaborations with circus performers, puppeteers and dancers.
His debut solo album ‘Till the Stars Fall’ was recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. After years of incredibly serious and important music making (!) Matt feels he is finally ready to perform to the toddlerhood, the most discerning audience of all.
He is hugely keen on wildlife conservation and photography when time and toddler allows!
